After the All-Star break, the Oakland A's get on a hot streak. This is no ordianary hot streak, however, this is a winning streak like no other. On, September 4th the Oakland A's were looking for their 20th straight win, something that no other team in the AL had done. Booming from the start, the A's scored six runs in the first inning and scored eleven runs after the third. This record breaking game looked to the easiest of the streak, but it wasn't. Oakland blew the lead, letting up five runs if the 4th inning and five more in the 8th. The score was 11-10 going into the 9th inning. The A's blew that too. The Kansas City Royals tied the game at eleven and left the Oakland A's dugout in disbelief. Even in a tie game, the A's didn't think they could come back. In the bottom of the 9th, Scott Hatteburg pinched hit. Scott got up to the plate, stared down the pitcher, and waited for the pitch. The ball that the pitcher threw never came back. Scott Hatteburg hit a walk-off home-run, ending the game and put the Oakland A's into the record book.
